Manager of Inside Sales and Customer Service (Hong Kong)

(Base in AD-HK)

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Prepare a Department Plan annually based on the Location Plan
  • Prepare a manpower plan and a training plan to ensure sufficient staffing and personal and team development
  • Develop initiatives to improve the performance of the department and processes
  • Manage the group IS/CS/OA-employees (including evaluating the performance, capabilities, attitude and career possibilities of each employee assigned to him)
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Assist and coach IS, CS and OA with external issues
  • Takes lead in hiring new employees to ensure consistent team development
  • Organize regular team meetings
  • Coordinate efforts with other internal departments to ensure customer needs are being met
  • Ensure focus of IS on "other customers" to meet the Booking/Billing/Margin set in the group of customers
  • Stimulate the sales of excess stock
  • Initiate special sales campaigns and new product lines regarding Inside Sales and Customer Services
  • Work with Outside Sales and develop internal programs for fulfilling their needs
  • Participate in meeting with OPS and (Outside) Sales meetings
  • Coordinate complaint handling
  • Propose credit limits for "other customers"
  • Initiate and participate in IT-projects
  • Assist in the implementation/training of system software to support Sales efforts


  • Bachelor Degree or above in Sales/Marketing or related disciplines
  • At least 8+ years in sales and/or marketing experience in aviation industry or distribution of components in Asia Pacific
  • Repair Management Experience would be as asset
  • Excellent in English and Chinese (Both Written and Spoken including Mandarin)
  • Excellent PC skills on MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc)
  • Willingness to travel (30% of time)
  • Concrete, international management experience
  • Decisive, result directed and good organizing skills
  • Strong communication skills and people oriented
  • Strong affinity with the Aerospace industry and Supply Chain Management
